Privacy policy

DocketFetch does not collect usage analytics or send your case information to DocketFetch servers. Your case lists, document selections, download history, settings, and downloaded PDFs are stored locally on your computer, in your browser profile or chosen download folder.

Information used to work with a case

DocketFetch reads case details and document links from the NYSCEF pages you use. It processes the index numbers or party names you enter so that you can find a case and organize its document list.

The current extension stores saved case records, court page addresses, document metadata, selections, folder names, download status, and saved or opened dates locally in your browser profile. It also stores preferences, authorized folder handles, and file-save receipts locally. These records support saved cases, file organization, and avoiding repeat downloads.

Where your PDFs go

Available PDFs are requested directly from NYSCEF using your browser’s existing access to that website. They are handled temporarily in browser memory and saved to your Downloads folder or another folder you authorize.

The current extension does not upload your case lists or PDFs to a DocketFetch server and does not include advertising or analytics tracking. The court website’s own privacy practices and access requirements continue to apply.

Your local records and controls

You can delete a saved case from the extension. This removes that saved case record and its download history. It does not delete PDFs already saved on your computer or separately stored folder permissions and file-save receipts. Removing local history can cause documents to be downloaded again.

Files in folders managed by your operating system, backups, or cloud storage are subject to those services and your settings. To remove saved PDFs, delete them from their destination folder.

Support messages

If you email DocketFetch, we receive the address and information you choose to send and use it to respond to your request. Please avoid sending confidential case material, passwords, or payment card numbers.
